Luke-Chang-CEC-RevDr. Luke Yuung-Jier Chang, MD, is an ophthalmologist at Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center, where he specializes in the latest surgical techniques for both glaucoma and cataract surgery.

Prior to joining Chesapeake Eye Care, Dr. Chang attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine where he graduated cum laude. After completing his medical degree, Dr. Chang continued his training with an internship in internal medicine at Mercy Medical Center, his residency in ophthalmology at the Medical College of Georgia and a fellowship in glaucoma at University of Maryland.

Throughout his training, Dr. Chang has contributed to several peer-reviewed journal articles. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the Resident Research Award from the Chinese American Ophthalmological Society. Dr. Chang has also trained residents in cataract surgery and performed lectures for medical and PA students. 

Dr. Chang was born and raised in Maryland, and is excited to be returning to the area after spending time away in Georgia. 

Outside of work, Dr. Chang enjoys spending time with his wife and two children (soon to be three). Most weekends, he can be found cheering on his children at their soccer games. When time permits, he also enjoys exploring the world and trying different cuisines with his family.
