Dr. Gaurav Srivastava is a board certified ophthalmologist at Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center. Through his studies at Johns Hopkins University, University of Cambridge in England, George Washington School of Medicine & Health Sciences and Rutgers University Ophthalmology Residency Program, as well as his work as a researcher at the National Institutes of Health, he has learned the latest laser and surgical techniques for minimally invasive cataract and glaucoma surgeries as well as refractive procedures. Dr. Srivastava is also trained to diagnose, manage and treat a wide variety of eye conditions with a special focus on the treatment of dry eye disease.
Dr. Srivastava treats each patient just as he would his own family and works diligently to help improve their visual potential. Raised in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia, Dr. Srivastava is excited to return to his community to help residents of the region improve their vision through the most advanced technologies in eye care.
Dr. Srivastava enjoys outdoor activities, sports and traveling to various countries with his wife. When time permits, and most importantly, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. Dr. Srivastava is also fluent in Hindi and continues to improve his Spanish.
