Chase Hutchings, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant with extensive experience in ophthalmic care, bringing a patient-centered approach to Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center. Chase specializes in cosmetic procedures and treatments, including Botox, fillers and IPL, as well as history and physical for surgical patients and other medical eye care.

A graduate of South University in Savannah, Georgia, Chase earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies after completing a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with minors in Chemistry and Biology from Florida State University. With a career spanning more than five years, he has gained expertise in advanced ophthalmic diagnostics and treatments, including intraocular annd periocular injections, amniotic membrane graft placement, and complex preoperative and postoperative care.

Before joining Chesapeake Eye Center, Chase honed his skills at Perich Eye Center and Magruder Eye Institute, where he delivered care for diverse patient populations and trained the next generation of medical professionals through mentorship and clinical preceptorship. His clinical background is complemented by experience in patient education, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their eye health and treatment plans.

Chase is committed to delivering exceptional care through collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring optimal outcomes for every patient. He is a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the Florida Association of Physician Assistants (FAPA), and the Maryland Academy of Physician Assistants (MDAPA).

Outside of work, Chase enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, sailing, competing in three-day eventing—an equestrian sport, and hiking.

At Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center, Chase looks forward to continuing his mission of improving patients’ quality of life through outstanding ophthalmic care.
